History
TRECAP was established by Doug Tibbetts, Gary Sligar, and Paul Klick—former principals of Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc., the largest institutional manager in the U.S. during the 1980s and 1990s. They formed TRECAP with three primary objectives:
- Help investors preserve capital and enhance asset performance in extremely difficult markets
- Identify compelling new investment opportunities, and
- Execute effective portfolio strategies to take advantage of cyclical highs and lows
